Meet The Team!

Our team is made up of seamstresses and fitters. Our team of master seamstresses are always in our in-house sew room. Our fitters are all trained professionally to recognize all the changes needed to be made to the dress without using pins and they are your advocates and support team in the fitting room.

Meet Denysse

Hello! My name is Denysse! I have worked in bridal since I’ve been with DeeDee which is 11 years. Outside of working in bridal I love spending time with my family and being outdoors. My favorite thing about working with brides is seeing how excited they are for their big day and being able to be a part of that experience. I also love the fashion aspect of it and being able to see all the dresses as every new season comes. I work as a fitter in the studio. I got introduced to the industry when I was first in college. I needed a job to pay my way through school and it ended up turning up into a career when I discovered my love for fashion!

Meet Shani

Hello my name is Shani! I am one of the fitters in the studio. I have worked with DeeDee for two years now and it is the best experience I have ever had. I got into the bridal world after I decided I needed a change from being an upholsterer. My favorite thing about working in bridal is seeing all the different dresses and the way each designer constructs the patterns. My favorite dresses are silk or satin dresses with long bell sleeves. Outside of work I love to stay crafty and I am a big video gamer.

Meet Larisa

Hello, my name is Larisa! I work as a seamstress at The Wedding Seamstress. I have been working with DeeDee for 16 years of the 40 years of my sewing career. I was just 17 years old in Ukraine when I had the opportunity to get a job. College was not an option for me so this was the path I chose and perfected. I continued to work as a seamstress when I came to America. My favorite thing about my job is when brides and the other seamstresses ask me if any work has been done to the dress yet after I have finished with alterations, it makes me laugh and proud at the same time. Perfection is my passion. Outside of work I do love to sing in my church's choir. My favorite dresses to work on are lace dresses but I love the look of silk dresses.

Meet Jocelyn

Hello, my name is Jocelyn! I work as a seamstress at The Wedding Seamstress. I have been in bridal for about 30 years and have worked here for 11 years. Besides sewing and baking there really isn’t much else I like to do. Sewing really is a passion of mine. Ever since I was a little girl playing wedding dress-up at my neighbors house, I knew I wanted to work with dresses. My neighbor was a seamstress herself, so as kids we would play with any of the scraps she had designing our own little dresses. I got into pageantry first before I worked with wedding gowns. It’s like I still get to play dress-up to this day and dress the Barbie. I just always want to make the brides look pretty. I would confidently say that we have a fairy-god-mother complex here. My favorite style of dress are 1940s wedding gowns. Anything with clean lines and a classy look.

Meet Anna

Hello, my name is Anna. I have worked in bridal for 6 years and I have been working with DeeDee as a seamstress for 4 years after I graduated from Rocky Mountain school of art and design. Outside of work I love to travel and take some peaceful time to myself while doing puzzles. The reason I love working with dresses so much is because they are all like a puzzle to me. The construction of every dress is so different and unique, it fascinates me. My aunt inspired me to become a seamstress, I grew up watching her run her own alterations studio. My favorite style of dresses are Hayley Paige dresses with the horse-braid all over!

Meet Debbie

Hello, my name is Debbie! I have been at The Wedding Seamstress for over 7 years. I got into sewing when I worked at a bridal store after college which I loved but once I had kids I focused on raising my family. After they grew up I decided to go back to working in bridal and become a seamstress. My own mother was the one who motivated me to sew more after she taught me as a little girl. I love seeing the end result of alterations and seeing the perfect fit on a bride. When I am not working I am still sewing at home because I love it so much. I also love to read and play with my grandkids. My favorite dress is a drop waist dress with lace.

Meet Tessa

Hello I am Tessa. I started working in bridal in 1988, I grew up learning how to sew at a very young age in the Philippines. My grandmother would always make me sew things for her and fix things all the time which made me dislike sewing at a young age. After I had sons of my own I got excited to make clothes for them. Before I did bridal I started in mens wear. Now I love the challenge wedding dresses give me. Every dress is a different challenge and I get to figure out a new way of solving it. I have worked with DeeDee for 8 years now. Outside of work I love cooking, eating sweets, and playing blackjack. My favorite type of wedding dress is a big ball gown, I love how they challenge me and how it makes the bride look like a princess.

Meet Mike

Hello, my name is Mike. I have been a tailor for DeeDee for 2 out of the 7 years I have worked on wedding dresses. Before I became a tailor I worked at Barnes and Noble, when they closed the store I worked at, I looked down the street and saw a bridal alterations store. I walked in and asked if they needed help and if they'd be willing to train me and they hired me on the spot. I became fascinated with the construction of dresses from that point on. The patterns are so different than men's wear and it so neat to pick apart the differences. When I'm not working I am taking care of my cats, cooking and making my own clothes. My favorite style of wedding dresses are 1930's bias cut.
